1 Challenge

The King’s Cross team were looking for Locale’s help in three commercial office buildings: 2 St Pancras Square, R7 and S1.

The team wanted to tackle a few challenges using Locale’s bespoke content streaming service, including:

  • Better utilising digital signage in communal areas to promote the wider neighbourhood and benefits of working in the available offices.
  • A more effective way to promote on-site events, wellbeing activities, retail promotions, art installations, markets, green spaces, and workshops.
  • Elevating communications by displaying the same information across the three buildings that was consistent with the strong brand, look and tone
  • Creating targeted communications for occupiers
  • Consultancy help from Locale to assist with planning monthly content alongside events and marketing activities that mirrored the look and feel of their existing brand.

2 Solution

In June 2024, Locale devised a plan to ensure future success comprised of:

  • Arranging regular consultancy sessions with Locale’s in-house design team to discuss types of content, quarterly themes, a calendar of upcoming activity, and future design ideas
  • Creating a regular stream of digital content in line with the client’s objectives, such as encouraging occupiers to download the app, informing occupiers of bookable events taking place throughout the neighbourhood, and raising awareness of on-site facilities like the open nursery, markets and gyms
  • Utilise the power of digital wayfinding by displaying signage for on-site markets, bike fix shops and retailers across the neighbourhood2025-08-13 Screen in situ - summer event

3 Success

Currently, Locale’s in-house design team has weekly meetings to plan and strategise content, ensuring it is resonating correctly with occupiers. Ten pieces of content a month are generated, scheduled and activated, reducing time and effort for the client which can now be spent on other areas of the business.

In the future, Locale aims to create targeted communications which focus on promoting specific audience types, from shoppers to office workers across the buildings.
